Step away from the filters
Seriously, people you all need to step away from the filters that lately everyone has been using. It is scary out there, that some people need to filter themselves so much that they look nothing like that in real life.
Now I’m not saying use a filter to take away a zit or to fix the lightning better, even though I have no idea how to do either of those two things. I’m saying using filters to make you skinnier, to make your face different or your lips bigger or you look like some sort of alien like Madonna is looking like lately. I actually am part of a Redditt group that posts unrealistic pictures they find on social media and lord, it’s scary and sad what people are doing.
There are so many reasons this is wrong, here’s my top 3 reasons
1.What are you doing to the self-esteem of the next generation?
They now are trying to be that skinny, or not feel good about themselves because they aren’t that beautiful. This scars them for life. This is unrealistic to achieve.
- Dating.
Now I’d be scared to go on a date as a man. Eventually you will have to meet in person and the man will see the real you, because dumb ass, you cant use the filter in real life. Think about it, the woman you take out is definitely not the same woman you will wake up with. With fake hair, eyelashes, boobs and makeup you never know who you’ll be looking at in the morning. Don’t believe me, check out some of those before and after makeup videos. - Not many people are that beautiful in real life.
Even top models use filters and makeup to be that beautiful. So what does that say about your self worth? That you don’t like yourself? That you’re trying to keep up with the Kardashians who had tons and tons of plastic surgery and tons of money to keep that look up so you’re not that beautiful if you don’t look like them?
That you cross that line from reality to never having enough. And then you start to look like those Barbie -like women? When is enough, enough? Why can’t we be happy in our own body? With who God made us to be?
Look I get some makeup when you go out to make you feel pretty but come on. At the outdoor concert I went to last weekend these women were in full and I mean stage ready, full faces of makeup at 3:30 pm by 11:30 pm after the heat and the sun beating on us for 8 hours, they looked like melting wax museum status. Trust me it was scary and probably more so for their dates.
So today my friends, please step away from the filters, those actresses you’re trying to look like don’t look like that. No one is that skinny in real life. Do you boo, love yourself, love the body that you’re in. Stop trying to keep up with the Kardashians. We are all unique and wonderfully made just the way we are.
