A different kind of therapy, Part 2.

Yesterday I wrote about a new type of therapy I learned about while watching this documentary on Netflix called Stutz in which Jonah Hill Interviews his therapist.

Part 2 of this therapy goes on to tell us about, The string of pearls.
Which tells you that you are the person that puts the next pearl on the strand.
How we must all try to find our shadow, which is the part of yourself that you’re ashamed of. You need to talk to your shadow and ask him how you should deal with him. How you treated him in the past. You need to talk to your shadow and then listen to your shadow.

The shadow needs attention not from the outside world but from you. Ask yourself what you can do to make up for your mistakes, or how you felt about him. The idea of being in sync with your shadow is a sense of wholeness. Wholeness means you don’t need anything else. I’m whole the way I am and it’s freeing.

The snapshot is about how you’re looking for the perfect thing: a job, the perfect life, a partner, or whatever you think if you got that, then you’ll have a perfect life.

The maze:
Is when you say to yourself I’ll move past this once they make up for whatever it is they did to you. Your quest for fairness puts your life on hold.

Active love:
You need to get all the love in the universe and you take all that love into your heart. You send all this love to the other person that has wronged you and you feel like one with the other person.

Radical acceptance:
Every event has something that you can learn from.
The things you have to ask yourself are:
1. What are you going to do about this thing now?
2. You’re not allowed to go into the negative.
3. You want to find something positive about it.
You not only have the will to do this but you have some faith in it.
You need to know that there’s something there that’s valuable. Then everything starts to become more meaningful. You don’t get there from the big things, but it’s from the small things.

You need to look at all the events that happen in your life for something of value. If you can do that then you’re in a zone of tremendous opportunity.

The grateful flow:
You want to choose the positives. Every thought you have is going to affect your mood. Every thought you have is gonna be either positive or negative.

Gratefulness:
Is the state you want to be and as often as you can. It is the state that connects you to the world.

Loss processing:
The goal is not to become completely engulfed in it. It’s working towards the fact that no one person, place or thing leaving you, can completely take away your existence or your sense of wholeness.

So today my friends remember these steps will change your life. But you must be willing to step up. You must be able to look deep inside yourself and be truthful with yourself. It won’t be easy but the end result will be amazing. Because when you look for the lessons in life”Be the change you want to see”
