Making better choices

Making better choices

So if you follow me I am always saying be the change you want to see.

I’m a big believer in change and learning lessons no matter how old you are, you can always change.

That saying may be true about dogs but we are humans and that doesn’t apply to us, we can learn new tricks…if we are open to change. If I was judged on all the bad mistakes I made when I was younger, hell on the mistakes I’ve made a few years ago, I wouldn’t want to go on.

But every bad mistake, every heartbreak, every horrible choice I made with

men made me a better person. It made me stronger, it made me look deep inside and try to figure out why I did what I did. It made me learn a lesson, to try to change my behavior and own my own shit.

Change means to forgive others even when there is no apology given. To be grown up enough to take responsibility for your own actions and ask for forgiveness, even when you know none will be granted.

We all have choices, we choose to stay in relationships or jobs where we are not valued. We choose to continue letting others treat us badly when we know we deserve better. We choose to beat ourselves up over bad decisions, way after we walk away from others who have done that to us.

We all have a choice, and for now we still live in a free country and we get to choose who we are, what we say and how we act. The problem today is everyone is afraid to look bad. Everyone is trying to keep up with these fake lifestyles we see on social media. We are trying to be perfect and in doing so we can’t admit to failure or mistakes so we will never grow into better people.

I get it’s hard to own up to the shitty things you’ve done, but I put all my failures out to the whole world because I am human and I want others to see that it’s okay to make mistakes, to make bad choices and learn and grow from them.

So today my friends remember, we are all human, we all make mistakes, we have all made bad decisions but there is a lesson in each one of them.

Don’t beat yourself up, you are not alone even if so many people are not willing to admit it, they are out there. And know that I will always be here giving you the real low down on being real, raw and honest because we are all just trying to make better choices.
