Vote as if your life depends on it
Tomorrow all across the United States of America we will be voting. And trust me your life or someone you know lives depend on it. Our rights are being chipped away, and soon we will be wondering what happened? What happened is you didn’t take the time to vote.
Now some people only vote for the presidential elections but we need to be present for all the elections. We need to vote now as much or more than just Presidential elections. These seats are the seats that literally run the country. It doesn’t matter if we had a monkey running the country, he doesn’t make the final decisions, congress and the house make the decisions and these are the people that you can’t be bothered to vote for. These are people that are making life decisions for us, trust me when I say that this is a more important election than the presidential election.
These people can be in this position for years with a starting salary of 175k a year. Yeah, no wonder so many of them don’t care about us working class. According to the Congressional Research Service, 23 members of the Senate are in their 70s at the beginning of 2022, while the average age of senators was 64.3 years—the oldest in history. One was 93 when he died and one was 100 when he died while he was in office. Really does this make sense? Why? Are they relevant? How do they know what is going on in the world now? All they care about is padding the lining of their pockets with the scum money of gun manufacturers, or the drug companies to keep their votes in their packets.
Yet so many people sit back and say my vote doesn’t help or I don’t care who the senators or judges are in my state. But you must, you must go out and vote because it won’t matter who you vote for in the presidential election if you don’t vote now!
So today my friends remember your single vote matters. It matters for your town, for your city, for your country and basically for your life and the lives of your loved ones. Each and every vote matters, this can make a difference in women’s rights, in the LGBTQ community, for the money our children get in schools. It matters in rights for all the black men who are senselessly killed each and every day. This vote can mean you get better health care, more benefits at work, more money or paying less at the grocery store, for housing or gas. This is your choice to sit back and complain without doing anything about it or to get out there and vote!
Only you can make a difference, only you can be the change you want to see.
