Don’t wait, do it today

Sometimes we all think that we have time, time to see the people we love, and time to do the things we wanted to do in our lives, we just assume we have time.
We always think tomorrow, we will do it tomorrow.
But sometimes we are not given tomorrow, sometimes life is too short and there is no more tomorrows.

I know that in my life I have lost many people that I’ve loved. Sometimes life gets crazy and you get caught up and you say you’ll talk to them tomorrow or I’ll text them tomorrow or I’ll get together with them next week and then that never happens.

Then all of a sudden something happens to that person and you’re filled with guilt because you know that you didn’t take the time out that you wanted to, to let them know how much you love them or to spend time with them.

Sometimes if you’re lucky there will be a sign for you after they’re gone. Recently I connected with my church husband’s daughter and we’ve been talking. We’ve been trying to help each other through this hard time.

She told me she had a dream about him. I know that it wasn’t a dream, it was him coming back to let us know that he’s always here with us. I know this because at the end of the dream, he told her to tell me that he was thankful for me and that he loved my stupid butt, which is something that he always used to say to me. I know this was him, this was his message to me and his daughter that he will always be here with us.

This was the best gift I could ever receive, even though I went into the ugly cry. I know that he is up there looking down, he is with the people that he loved and they are all taking care of us. Even still, I still feel guilty that I should have taken more time to hang out with him. But because I always took the time to let him know how much I appreciate him and l love him at least that makes me feel better.

So today my friends remember we are not given a tomorrow, today may be our last day here. Make the time to tell the ones you love, that you love them. Make time to call or visit because you never want to feel the regret of, what I should have or I wish I would have.
