The ultimate faith

Let me ask you something and be truthful. When life gets you down, even if you’re a believer, you sometimes give up hope. I know personally when I was 15 and I was raped, then my father died and my mom had gotten breast cancer, I thought God hated me.
I thought if there truly was a God he wouldn’t let a child go through all of this.

For years I was mad at God. I didn’t believe in him anymore. I lost my faith. It took me to hit rock bottom to finally reach out and believe in something bigger than myself. I know there are many people like me. Either they only believe when they need something or when something bad happens to them, and at that moment they stop believing.

But there are people out there that have faith, no matter what. My friends from church have been trying to have a baby for years and couldn’t. When she finally got pregnant we were all overjoyed for them.
She carried the baby to term and gave birth but sadly the baby was taken home. Yet they still talk about their faith in God and how God was there for them to get them through this. They didn’t blame God. They believed in his plan even though they couldn’t understand it. They are out there telling the story of their faith and I have to tell you I can’t imagine going through that and still having faith.

This gives me the faith to hold on and to keep going.
If they could have that kind of faith and the testimony to praise God even going through their worst of times, then we should all be able to do the same. They are making their loss into somebody else’s blessing.

So today my friends I ask you, do you have faith? Can you praise him through your worst of times? If you’re wavering, let their story be a lesson of the ultimate faith.
