Do what you have to until you can do what you want to
I love this because most people hate what they do and wish that they could be doing something else. I know as much as I love my business, my passion is writing, that is what I want to do full time. And yes, I do my business until that day comes when this will be my only job.
I remember my girlfriend used to say everyday, I’m going to hell, meaning her job. I can’t imagine hating a job so much that you would call it hell. But each and every day someone goes to their own hell. To me life is too short and there are too many jobs out there to be stuck in a place you hate. For that matter in a relationship that you hate or around people you hate.
At the end of your life will you say I did what I wanted to do and I was happy? Or will you be wishing you did things differently when there is no more time left?
We don’t have a time clock on life and if covid taught us anything it’s that we can be here today, gone tomorrow just like that, without fulfilling our dreams.
To me no job is worth my happiness just like no relationship is worth it as well. I wasted 24 years in a marriage that was worse than prison. I refuse to waste another minute of my life on anything that does not make me happy.
So today my friends remember life is short, time is not a guaranteed thing, so do what makes you happy. And even if you’re not at a place that you are called to, keep going, keep working at it until your time comes.
